Chin Lee Chinese 1930s NYC Vintage Matchbook Tote Bag
Chin Lee Chinese 1930s NYC
In 1930s New York City, supper clubs were all the rage as city dwellers would go out for dinner and stay to dance the night away. Chin Lee's was more than happy to cater to this need and by prominently stating what they were all about in blinking yellow lights - dinner and dancing. With no cover charge, Chin Lee's was a hot spot for anyone looking for a hot bowl of authentic chop suey, strong drinks, and a night of dancing. This tote design is taken from a genuine vintage matchbook making for a truly unique design that you won't find elsewhere.
Like all our designs, this one is treated with our signature 'relic-ing' process which includes our own secret recipe of hand-painted chipping, cracking, fading, and just the right touch of yellowing to ensure that it looks the part of a true vintage imprint. This all-over printed tote is produced using a sublimation printing technique which allows us to cover every inch of the bag surface with artwork, giving you a true one-of-a-kind vintage piece that will get looks and plenty of compliments :)
